Dr. Kisseih has been involved in the MIAAP Advocacy Day activities in 2013, 2014 and 2015 with successful outcomes including retaining funding for MCIR. Dr. Kisseih received the competitive AAP Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) grant in 2013 for the project “Smoke Free Ride” in Genesee County which reminds parents not to smoke in the car, especially when children are present. During a Michigan AAP Advocacy Day, Dr, Kisseih was able to meet with state legislators to discuss legislation that would limit smoking in cars.
Dr. Kisseih became a member of the AAP Provisional Section on Tobacco Control. She currently serve as District V (MI, IN, OH) AAP CATCH resident and fellow liaison. Dr. Kisseih is currently a Neonatal-Perinatal fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
