matthew hornik, Do, FAAP                              member at large

Dr. Hornik lives in Bloomfield Hills, MI.  He completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University Lyman Briggs School where he received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology. He completed his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency training was at William Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak, MI where he served as Chief Pediatric Resident from June 2012 through June 2013.  He currently is a partner at Pediatric Care Corner, P.C. in West Bloomfield, MI.

Dr. Hornik’s clinical interests are general pediatrics and advocacy. He has been actively involved with the American Academy of Pediatrics both at the national and state levels.  He served for 2 years as the District V Representative on the Executive Committee of the AAP Section for Medical Students, Residents and Fellows (SOMSRFT) while in residency.  He currently is serving as the District V Representative on the Executive Committee for the Section on Early Career Physicians (SOECP).  He enjoys teaching residents and medical students as he teaches from time to time in the Resident Clinic at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife and 2 sons.
