Blueprint for Youth Suicide Prevention - The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), in collaboration with experts from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), created this Blueprint for Youth Suicide Prevention as an educational resource to support pediatric health clinicians and other health professionals in identifying strategies and key partnerships to support youth at risk for suicide.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (AFSP) - The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is now the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (although the previous 1-800-273-TALK (8255) number for the Lifeline will continue to function indefinitely). AFSP has worked with Congressional partners, other non-profit coalition members, and mental health agencies to lead the charge for a 3-digit suicide prevention, mental health, and substance use crisis hotline.

Signs of Suicide Program for Schools (Mindwise) - Suicide Prevention for Students. SOS Signs of Suicide is an affordable, evidence-based suicide prevention program that has demonstrated a 64% reduction in self-reported suicide attempts.

#MentalHealthMatters Video Series (AAP) - #MentalHealthMattersAAP aims to empower and educate teens about mental health, well-being and overall health by providing them with straightforward, medically accurate video content featuring AAP expert pediatricians and teens. Soul Shop (AFSP) - The goal of this workshop is to familiarize participants with the incidence and impact of suicide on their faith communities, and train them to address issues related to suicide.

Talk Saves Lives (AFSP) - Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention is a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide.

Gizmo for Mental Health (United Way) - Gizmo, the narrator of Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health, is a therapy dog. For the past 12 years, he has been comforting people when they are feeling sad, mad, or worried and, through his Pawesome Guide, provides school-aged children with the tools they need to manage their mental health. But Gizmo is aging and in 2023 is preparing to retire with a farewell retirement tour.
