Natalia Cwalina, Md,                               Resident Representative


Natalia Cwalina is originally from the metro-Detroit area. She was a Presidential Scholar at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She completed her medical school training at the Medical University of Gdansk, in Gdansk, Poland, where she graduated with Honors, receiving the prestigious Rector's Award for Top Scholar, and a Dean's Award of Excellence. Natalia is currently a PGY-III Pediatrics Resident at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, serving a predominantly low-income population.

As the daughter of Polish immigrants, and an ESL student, Natalia holds a special interest in Children's Literacy. She is passionate about ACEs and their impact on patients, striving to provide Trauma Informed Care. She also focuses on Childhood Nutrition, often suggesting healthy, nutritious solutions that are affordable for her patients and their families. She enjoys traveling, grocery shopping, and reading (for fun!) in her spare time.
